My name is Lucy, and I’m a designer/illustrator originally from California, now based in Brooklyn, NY. 

I started Egguguma in 2021 by illustrating my own calendars, and it has since grown into an annual design project.  Egguguma is a playful combination of the Korean expression “aigoo” and my love for “goguma,” which means sweet potatoes in Korean. 

My cat Mello is my creative assistnat and biggest inspiration. She apprvoes my work with her daily naps and sometimes judgmental stares. One day, I hope to open a cozy coffee shop where artists and creators can come together and share their work 💛
