About Jessica Jovel
Jessica is the founder of Letters to Apollo, a Houston-based stationery and junk journaling brand rooted in creativity, nostalgia, and community. What began as a love for paper and memory keeping has grown into workshops that celebrate the beauty of everyday materials.
She specializes in transforming ordinary ephemera — receipts, photo booth strips, ticket stubs, packaging, and handwritten notes — into layered, expressive journal spreads. Her teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, and technique-driven, helping beginners build confidence while learning practical layering and composition skills.
Jessica believes junk journaling is about giving new life to the small paper moments we often overlook. In her Intro to Junk Journaling workshop, students will explore creative reuse, experiment with materials, and leave with the confidence to continue documenting their lives on paper.
